These Saturday morning and afternoon workshops by Annette Peterson are designed for youth from 8 to 18 years of age.
These workshops are all about “Portraits” and participants are encouraged to enter the Youth Portrait Selection Exhibition that follows in late September. Choose from 3 workshops:
Painting and Drawing #1 – RIGHT Brain Drawing Skills
This workshop is designed to teach RIGHT brained drawing skills, tonal qualities, and colour theory. Drawing exercises are applied to an acrylic painting on A3 canvas.
Painting and Drawing #2 – LEFT Brain Drawing Skills
This workshop is designed to teach LEFT brained drawing skills, tonal qualities, and colour theory. Grid techniques are applied to an acrylic painting on A3 canvas.
This workshop involves air dried clay and recycled materials to create a 3D sculpture of a portrait.
All equipment is supplied for all workshops. Cost is $50 per workshop. Class size is limited to 12 students. For all workshops, please bring an A4 colour photo portrait of the student or of a person who has given permission to be painted.

All workshops are held at the Joondalup Art Gallery, 4/48 Central Walk, Joondalup WA.
