An exhibition of works by Jane Graham
Jane Graham grew up in Kenya and then Switzerland and has since lived in such far flung places as the Sepik River region of Papua New Guinea, Darwin where she studied art at university, and Christmas Island. She now lives in Western Australia. She’s been exhibiting her art regularly since 1979 and is a published author. Of this exhibition, Jane says:
I often go to India to study the magnificient temple art and attend the Hindu ceremonies that are for me the epitomy of performance art.
The many exotic places I have lived in have probably influenced my love of large canvases and bright colours that characterize much of my work. My fascination for found objects and ancient artefacts has also been endlessly rewarded by my time in Africa and other place.
