Carl will be giving a talk on judges’ expectations for entries into Art Awards Exhibitions. He will discuss guidelines for the artists, what qualities successful artworks should include and the need for both technical skills and originality of submissions.

Carl Altmann (MA) has been involved in Art Education, Design, Visual Literacy, Drawing, Painting and Textiles for many years. He is currently a lecturer at the Mature Adults Learning Association and has in the past been a judge for the Black Swan Portraiture Awards Exhibition, and judged local and regional art exhibitions. His own artworks have been exhibited both in Australia and abroad in Ireland, England, USA, Switzerland and Hong Kong.
